Inspired by an encounter with a black bear in an unlikely urban forest while painting in the forest,  Circus Bear explores breaking free of the performative cages we put ourselves in. Tap into instincts and find the place where dreams and reality meet. The artist dreamt of painting a bear in this position only to have a bear greet her with a wave a few days later. This unique, dreamlike piece captures the magic of that encounter, inviting viewers to explore their own wild, untamed selves. and ask where do dreams touch reality?
